Quick answer
Focus on capacity, slide variety, and included features. The Paramount is great for large groups, while the Bear Cave Lodge offers more imaginative play.
Consider your yard size and layout
Both the Paramount and Bear Cave Lodge are substantial playsets. Measure your yard to ensure you have enough space for the structure plus a safe fall zone (typically 6 feet around all sides). Installation is included, so the team will handle assembly, but you need to confirm the site is level and accessible.
Think about the number of children
If you host playdates or have multiple kids, capacity matters. The Paramount holds up to 15 children, making it ideal for busy backyards. The Bear Cave Lodge is our largest swing set but doesn't specify capacity; it's best for families who want a clubhouse and more pretend-play features.
Slides and climbing features
The Paramount includes a big green Twist N’ Ride tube slide plus two high-rail wave slides and two rock-climbing walls. This variety keeps active kids engaged. The Bear Cave Lodge offers double wave slides, which are great for sliding with a friend, but lacks the tube slide and climbing walls.
Decision rules
- Capacity needs: If you regularly have 10+ children playing, choose the Paramount (holds up to 15). For fewer kids, the Bear Cave Lodge's clubhouse adds value.
- Play style preference: For active climbing and sliding variety, pick Paramount. For imaginative play with a clubhouse, kitchen, and cafe, choose Bear Cave Lodge.
- Installation included: Both models offer installation with assembly included. This saves you time and ensures the structure is safely built. Confirm site preparation requirements before delivery. Verify your yard is level and accessible for the installation team.
