Quick Answer
Add the Laser Magnum promo card to your Adrenaline game by shuffling it into the weapon deck before the first round. Ensure all players agree on its use before starting.
Why Use the Laser Magnum Promo Card?
The Laser Magnum is a weapon promo card designed exclusively for Dice Tower's Season 13 fundraising campaign. It adds a new strategic option to your Adrenaline games, giving players an additional weapon choice that can alter combat dynamics.
Because it's a promo, it may not be familiar to all players. Explain its effect briefly before the game to keep everyone on the same page.
Things to Consider Before Adding the Promo
The promo card is optional. If you're playing with newcomers, you might want to leave it out to keep the base game experience pure. Once players are comfortable, introduce it for extra variety.
Check that your copy of Adrenaline includes the standard weapon deck. The promo is meant to be integrated, not to replace any existing cards.
How to Set Up the Laser Magnum Promo Card
- Confirm Player Agreement: Before setup, ask all players if they want to include the promo card. This avoids mid-game surprises. If anyone objects, set the card aside and play without it.
- Shuffle into Weapon Deck: Take the Laser Magnum card and shuffle it into the main weapon deck, ensuring it's randomly distributed. Make sure the card is indistinguishable from others while shuffling.
- Deal Initial Hands: Deal starting hands as per the base game rules. The promo card may appear in any player's hand. If a player draws it, remind them of its effect before they use it.
- Play with Standard Rules: Use the card according to its text, following all normal Adrenaline rules for weapons. If any rule conflict arises, resolve it by following the card's text over the rulebook.
