Quick answer
Unpack the unit, place it on a stable surface, add water to the tank (if using steam), load items, and select the UV sterilise or dry cycle. The 3rd Gen model finishes in as little as 22 minutes.
Before you start: what you need
The Advanced Pro UV Steriliser & Dryer 3rd Gen uses UV LED technology to destroy 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and mould in just 5 minutes. It also includes a HEPA-filtered drying cycle that takes 17 minutes, or a combined sterilise-and-dry cycle that finishes in 22 minutes. Make sure you have a clean, dry countertop near an electrical outlet.
Common setup mistakes to avoid
Do not overload the chamber – items need space for UV light to reach all surfaces. Also, avoid using the steam function if you only need UV sterilisation; the unit is versatile enough to handle bottles, soothers, toys, cosmetic brushes, phones, and keys without water.
Step-by-step setup guide
- Unpack and inspect: Remove the steriliser from the box. Check that the base, lid, and any included baskets or trays are present and undamaged. Place the unit on a flat, heat-resistant surface near a power outlet. Do not block the ventilation slots on the sides or rear.
- Fill the water tank (if using steam): Open the water tank lid and fill with clean tap water up to the indicated line. Replace the lid securely. If you only plan to use the UV cycle, skip this step – the unit works without water. Using distilled water reduces mineral buildup inside the tank.
- Load items into the chamber: Place bottles, nipples, soothers, or other items in the baskets or directly on the trays. Ensure items do not touch each other and that the UV LED window is unobstructed. Overloading blocks UV light and may leave some surfaces unsterilized.
- Select your cycle: Press the power button. Choose between UV Sterilise (5 minutes), Dry (17 minutes with HEPA-filtered air), or Sterilise & Dry (22 minutes). The display shows the remaining time. For bottles used within a few hours, UV Sterilise alone is sufficient.
- Start the cycle and monitor: Press Start. The unit will beep when the cycle finishes. During operation, the door locks automatically to prevent exposure to UV light. Do not open the door mid-cycle. If the cycle stops early, check for a full water tank or a blocked filter.
- Use sterile-store mode: After the cycle ends, the unit can keep contents sterile for up to 3 days. Just leave the lid closed and the unit powered on. The fan will run periodically to maintain dryness. Items remain sterile only if the lid stays closed – remove items as needed.
