Quick answer
The Architects Crossover Promos pack connects Architects of the West Kingdom with other games in the West Kingdom trilogy, but only through specific card types included in the set.
What the crossover promos actually do
The Architects Crossover Promos pack includes 14 cards: 4 Adornment Cards, 3 Building Cards, 6 Apprentice Cards, and 1 Contribution/Consequence Card. These cards are designed to be used with Architects of the West Kingdom, not with other games directly. The 'crossover' refers to thematic or mechanical nods to other games in the series, not actual cross-game play.
Which games are connected?
The promo pack is explicitly for use with Architects of the West Kingdom. It does not contain cards that function in other games like Paladins of the West Kingdom or Viscounts of the West Kingdom. The crossover element is thematic—cards may reference characters or concepts from other West Kingdom titles, but they only affect gameplay in Architects.
A common misconception
Some players assume that 'crossover promos' mean you can mix cards between different games. In this case, the cards are strictly for Architects of the West Kingdom. They add variety and new strategies to that game, but they do not create a hybrid game experience.
Verdicts on common claims
- Claim: Crossover promos let you play a hybrid game.: False. The cards are only for use with Architects of the West Kingdom. They do not create a crossover game mode.
- Claim: The promos work with all West Kingdom games.: False. The pack is designed exclusively for Architects of the West Kingdom. It does not contain cards compatible with Paladins or Viscounts.
- Claim: The promos add new mechanics from other games.: Partially true. The cards introduce new Adornment, Building, Apprentice, and Contribution/Consequence cards, but they do not import mechanics from other games. If you want to expand Architects of the West Kingdom, this pack adds variety without changing the core rules.
