Quick answer
The ATOM OG Black Edition is a tiny keychain controller that works with Nintendo Switch, PC/Mac, mobile devices, and smart TVs. It’s built for gaming on the go without sacrificing essential controls.
What makes the ATOM OG Black Edition different from other mini controllers?
Unlike many pocket-sized controllers that cut buttons or feel cramped, the ATOM OG Black Edition keeps a full D-pad, four face buttons, shoulder buttons, and analog sticks in a form factor that clips onto your keys. Its retro-modern design appeals to collectors, but the real advantage is compatibility across multiple platforms without needing separate dongles for each device.
Is the controller comfortable for longer play sessions?
Because it’s designed to be ultra-portable, the ATOM OG Black Edition is compact. It fits naturally in smaller hands but may feel snug for larger palms during extended use. For quick sessions on the train or during a break, it’s excellent. If you plan to game for hours, a full-size controller might be more comfortable.
Frequently asked questions
Which devices does the ATOM OG Black Edition work with?
It works with Nintendo Switch (in handheld or tabletop mode), PC and Mac computers, Android and iOS mobile devices and tablets, and smart TVs that support Bluetooth game controllers.
Does it require batteries or charging?
Yes, the ATOM OG Black Edition has a built-in rechargeable battery. It charges via USB-C, and a full charge provides several hours of gameplay. The exact battery life depends on usage, but it’s enough for multiple travel sessions.
How do I connect it to my phone or tablet?
Put the controller into pairing mode (usually by holding the sync button). On your phone or tablet, go to Bluetooth settings and select “ATOM” from the list of available devices. Once paired, it remembers the connection for future use. Pairing is a one-time setup; the controller reconnects automatically to the last device used.
Can I use it while it’s charging?
Yes, you can play while the ATOM OG Black Edition is plugged into a power source via USB-C. This is useful for long gaming sessions or when you forget to charge it beforehand.
Is the keychain clip removable?
The keychain clip is built into the design, so it’s not intended to be removed. It keeps the controller attached to your keys or bag, making it always accessible.
Does it have motion controls or rumble?
The ATOM OG Black Edition does not include motion controls or haptic feedback. It focuses on essential button inputs and analog sticks for a compact, travel-friendly experience. If you need gyro aiming or vibration, consider a larger controller; the ATOM prioritizes portability over extra features.
