Quick Answer

The main differences between Buffalo Bisons trading card sets are the rosters, card counts, and price points. The 2016 set has 13 position players and 12 pitchers, the 2023 set includes 29 cards with a broader roster, and the 2024 set expands to 30 cards with updated players.

Roster Changes and What They Mean for Collectors

Each year's team card set reflects the actual roster of that season. The 2016 set includes players like Domonic Brown and Dalton Pompey, while the 2023 and 2024 sets feature more recent International League prospects such as Addison Barger and Spencer Horwitz. If you're following a specific player's career or want a snapshot of a particular season, the roster is the deciding factor.

Price and Value Differences

The 2016 set is priced at USD 5.92 (catalog comparison USD 8.00), making it the most affordable option. The 2023 set costs USD 7.00 (catalog comparison USD 10.00), and the 2024 set is USD 7.92 (catalog comparison USD 12.00). The newer sets include more cards, so the per-card cost is similar. If budget is a concern, the 2016 set offers a lower entry point.
