Quick Answer
The Butterfly Abolish Ice Sticker is a durable vinyl sticker perfect for laptops, water bottles, and journals. Its weatherproof design means it can go outdoors, but proper surface prep ensures it stays put.
Why This Sticker Matters
This sticker isn't just decorative—it carries a message of solidarity with immigrant rights. Designed by a daughter of an immigrant, 100% of profits go to the Women's Foundation of Minnesota Immigrant Rapid Response Fund. When you display it, you're starting conversations and supporting a cause.
Surface Considerations
Vinyl stickers like this one adhere best to smooth, clean surfaces. Textured or porous materials (like raw wood or fabric) reduce stickiness. For outdoor use, the sticker is waterproof, but extreme heat or cold can affect the adhesive over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I prepare the surface before applying?
Clean the area with rubbing alcohol or a mild soap solution to remove oils and dust. Let it dry completely. For best results, apply the sticker when the surface temperature is between 50°F and 80°F.
Can I put this sticker on a water bottle or laptop?
Yes. The vinyl material is waterproof and UV-resistant, so it holds up on reusable water bottles, laptops, phone cases, and car windows. Avoid dishwasher or microwave exposure. Hand wash bottles to preserve the sticker.
How do I remove the sticker without residue?
Heat the sticker gently with a hairdryer on low for 30-60 seconds, then peel slowly from a corner. Any leftover adhesive can be removed with a bit of rubbing alcohol or cooking oil.
What are creative ways to use this sticker?
Use it on a journal cover, a reusable tote bag, a bike helmet, or a clipboard. It also works well as part of a sticker collage on a laptop or as a focal point on a handmade card. Pair with other solidarity-themed stickers for a cohesive look.
Will the sticker fade in direct sunlight?
The vinyl has UV protection, so colors remain vibrant for months outdoors. For longest life, avoid constant direct sun exposure on car windows or dashboards.
