Quick answer
A bum bag bundle from Cocopup London holds far more walk essentials than a card holder, but a card holder wins if you only need a phone and keys.
What a card holder can and cannot carry
A slim card holder is great for stashing a phone, a few cards, and maybe a house key. It slips into a pocket or clips onto a belt loop, but it won't fit a roll of poop bags, a treat pouch, or a water bottle. For a 10-minute quick loop around the block, that might be enough. For longer walks where you need supplies for your dog, it falls short.
Why a bum bag changes your walk
A bum bag, especially one designed for dog walking, frees both hands for leash control, picking up after your pup, or tossing a ball. Cocopup's Bum Bag Bundles include a detachable waist strap and internal compartments that keep poop bags, treats, your phone, and keys organised. You don't have to juggle items or dig through a pocket mid-walk.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Capacity: Card holder: phone, 2-3 cards, one key. Bum bag: phone, keys, poop bags, treats, small water bottle, and more. If you carry anything beyond the bare minimum, a bum bag wins.
- Hands-free convenience: Card holder: usually slips into a pocket or clips on, but items can shift. Bum bag: stays secure on your waist with a detachable strap, leaving both hands free for your dog. For active walks with a reactive or energetic dog, the bum bag is safer and easier.
- Style and versatility: Card holder: minimalist, fits under a jacket. Bum bag: available in plain black, oyster white, or bold leopard prints; can be worn as a belt bag or carried separately. If you want to match your personal style while staying functional, the bum bag offers more choices.
