Quick answer
Choose the Hexatower if you want a premium dice-rolling experience with a satisfying sound. Pick the Hexadocks if you need a smart, ready-to-play organizer for your wooden player pieces.
What each accessory does differently
The Hexatower is a dice tower designed to enhance the physical act of rolling dice. Its Nexofyber surface and soft inner lining create a comfortable feel and a pleasant sound. The magnetic flap doubles as a dice-stopper, keeping dice from flying off the table.
The Hexadocks is a wooden parts holder that keeps your roads, settlements, and cities organized. The slots are arranged for easy access, so you can start playing without counting pieces. It matches the Catan color scheme and fits right into the game box.
Where they overlap
Both accessories are made from quality materials and designed to fit the Catan aesthetic. Neither product affects the rules of the game—they simply improve the physical experience or setup. Your choice depends on which part of the game you want to improve: the dice roll or the piece organization.
Tradeoffs at a glance
- Hexatower: enhanced dice rolling: Provides a premium feel and sound when rolling dice. The magnetic flap acts as a dice-stopper, preventing runaway dice. The tower itself is a conversation piece on the table.
- Hexadocks: instant game readiness: Organizes all wooden player pieces in a dedicated tray. No need to count or sort before each game. The tray fits the Catan color scheme and stores neatly in the box.
- The tradeoff: The Hexatower improves the dice-rolling experience but does nothing for piece storage. The Hexadocks streamlines setup and teardown but does not affect dice rolls. Choose based on which pain point bothers you more. If you often lose dice under furniture, the Hexatower is more useful. If you waste time counting pieces before each game, the Hexadocks saves you that effort.
