Quick answer
If you love soft, squishy collectibles and the Chiikawa series, the Mochimochi Face Mascot vol.2 blind box is a charming pick—just know that you're getting one random figure, so be ready for the surprise.
Understanding the blind box format
Blind boxes are sold sealed, so you don't know which character you'll get until you open it. This is part of the fun, but it also means you might not get your favorite on the first try.
The Mochimochi Face Mascot vol.2 set features five beloved characters: Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, Kurimanju, and Momonga. Each is crafted with plush fabric that feels smooth like mochi, making them extra huggable.
Why the surprise factor matters
The random nature of blind boxes adds excitement, but it also introduces a trade-off: you might receive a duplicate or a character you didn't want. If you're a completionist, consider trading with friends or buying from sellers who offer guaranteed characters (if available).
For casual collectors, the surprise is part of the charm—each pull is a tiny event.
Decision rules for buying a Mochimochi Face Mascot blind box
- If you want a specific character: Buying a single blind box is a gamble. To guarantee your favorite, look for sellers offering opened or verified figures, or trade with other collectors. Consider the cost of multiple blind boxes versus the price of a guaranteed figure.
- If you enjoy surprises: A single blind box is perfect. The plush, mochi-like texture makes any character a delightful addition to your collection. Set a budget for how many you're willing to buy.
- If you're a completionist: Be prepared to buy multiple boxes or trade. The set has five characters, so statistically you might need several pulls to complete it. Keep track of which characters you already have to avoid duplicates.
