Quick answer
The Chromatic Games Bundle from ModRetro packages a curated selection of retro-inspired titles for the Chromatic handheld, offering a straightforward way to expand your library without picking individual games.
What the bundle includes
The Chromatic Games Bundle collects several games that are all compatible with ModRetro's Chromatic handheld. Instead of buying titles one by one, you get a cohesive set designed to give you a variety of gameplay experiences right away. The exact lineup is curated by ModRetro to represent different genres, so you can jump into action, puzzle, or adventure titles without researching each cartridge separately.
Because the bundle is a single package, you save the hassle of tracking down individual releases. It's a practical choice if you want a ready-to-play collection and prefer not to spend time comparing game lists or waiting for separate shipments.
Value compared to buying separately
The Chromatic Games Bundle is priced at USD 149.99, with a catalog comparison price of USD 199.99. That means you're getting a discount compared to purchasing each game individually. The bundle essentially bundles the savings into one purchase, which is helpful if you're building your library from scratch or adding a chunk of new titles at once.
Keep in mind that the bundle's value depends on how many of the included games you actually want. If you already own some of the titles, buying the full bundle might duplicate your collection. In that case, picking individual games could be more cost-effective.
Who should consider the bundle
This bundle is ideal for new Chromatic owners who want a broad starting library without making multiple purchasing decisions. It also suits players who enjoy curated experiences and trust ModRetro's selection to deliver a balanced mix of gameplay styles.
On the other hand, if you are a collector who prefers to hand-pick every title, or if you already have a strong library, the bundle may include games you don't need. The bundle does not let you swap out individual titles, so you get the full set or nothing.
Decision rules for the Chromatic Games Bundle
- Check the included titles: Before buying, confirm the exact list of games in the current bundle on the ModRetro product page. The curated selection may change over time, so verify that the titles match your interests.
- Compare the bundle price to individual purchases: The bundle costs USD 149.99 (compared to USD 199.99 separately). If you want at least three or four of the included games, the bundle likely saves you money. If you only want one or two, buying individually is cheaper. Calculate the cost of the games you actually want before deciding.
- Assess your current library: If you already own some of the bundled titles, the bundle may not be the best value. Consider whether the discount outweighs paying for duplicates you won't play. Check your existing game collection first.
