Quick answer

The Clovis Concord & Menagerie Coast Box Set offers detailed, pre-painted miniatures for fans of Critical Role's Wildemount setting. It's a solid choice if you want ready-to-play figures for your campaign or display shelf.

What makes this set different

This box set focuses on the military and coastal factions of Wildemount. The Clovis Concord represents the disciplined armies of the Dwendalian Empire, while the Menagerie Coast brings a more rugged, pirate-influenced aesthetic. The miniatures reflect these themes with distinct armor and weapon designs.

Compatibility and quality considerations

The figures are designed to be compatible with most popular tabletop RPGs, so you can drop them into your existing game without modification. However, they come pre-painted, which means you lose some customization potential if you prefer to paint your own miniatures. The paint jobs are consistent but not competition-grade.

Decision rules

  • Do you need pre-painted, ready-to-play minis?: If you want to skip painting and start playing immediately, this set delivers. The figures come fully painted and based on official Critical Role art.
  • Does your campaign feature Wildemount factions?: If your story involves the Dwendalian Empire or coastal pirates, these minis add thematic depth. They're less useful for settings outside Exandria.
  • Are you a collector or a player?: Collectors will appreciate the official design and box presentation. Players who only need generic soldiers may find the faction-specific sculpts too narrow for reuse. Consider how much variety you need in your mini collection before committing.
