Quick answer
The DAILIES AquaComfort Plus Multifocal 90 pack offers a convenient daily disposable solution for presbyopia, combining Alcon's Precision Profile design for clear vision at multiple distances with built-in moisture agents.
Why daily disposables for presbyopia?
Daily disposable multifocal lenses eliminate the need for cleaning and storage, reducing the risk of deposit buildup and infection. For presbyopia, where lens design is critical, a fresh lens each day ensures consistent performance and comfort.
The Precision Profile design advantage
DAILIES AquaComfort Plus Multifocal uses Alcon's Precision Profile design, which provides a smooth transition between distance and near vision. This aspheric multifocal design aims to reduce visual disturbances like halos and ghosting, common with older multifocal designs.
Moisture comfort considerations
These lenses incorporate a triple-action moisture system that releases a wetting agent upon insertion, then maintains comfort throughout the day. While many users find them comfortable, individual experiences vary; those with very dry eyes may need to supplement with rewetting drops.
Decision rules for DAILIES AquaComfort Plus Multifocal
- Choose if you want a daily disposable for presbyopia: If you need multifocal correction and prefer the hygiene and convenience of a fresh lens every day, this 90-pack option is a strong candidate.
- Consider your prescription range: These lenses are designed for a range of prescription strengths. Confirm with your eye care professional that your specific prescription (sphere, cylinder, add power) is available in this lens. Check your prescription compatibility before ordering.
- Evaluate your comfort needs: The triple-action moisture system helps with initial and all-day comfort, but if you have chronic dryness, you may need a different daily multifocal with a different material or design.
