Quick answer
Choose the Damokles Ruinae deck if you want a fully functional, luxurious playing card experience. Choose the Cuprum Uncut Sheet if you prefer a unique, factory-fresh wall display piece that shows off metallic inks on both sides.
What makes each collectible unique
The Damokles Ruinae deck is a fully custom playing card deck housed in a luxury Italian velvet tuck box, crafted and foiled in Italy by Boschiero & Newton. It's designed for both play and display, with recognizable courts and metallic inks on the card backs. Only around 800 units were made, mainly for Kickstarter backers, giving it a limited-edition appeal.
The Cuprum Uncut Sheet is an authentic uncut sheet pulled straight off the USPCC factory press before cutting and boxing. It's printed on both sides (backs on one side, faces on the other) and features awesome metallic inks. Sold without a frame, it's a raw, industrial collectible perfect for framing or mounting as a statement piece.
Trade-offs to consider
The Ruinae deck offers a complete, ready-to-use product with a premium tuck box and the ability to actually play cards. The Cuprum Uncut Sheet is a display-only item that requires you to source your own frame, but it shows the full uncut sheet in its factory state—something no standard deck can replicate.
If you value portability and functionality, the deck wins. If you want a large-format art piece that highlights the printing process and metallic inks, the uncut sheet is the better choice.
