Quick answer
The DC Deck-Building Game Gen Con 2023 Promo Pack includes three standard promo cards: Birds of Prey, Avery Ho, and Savitar. This guide covers what's inside, how to use them, and how they fit with other DC Deck-Building Game promos.
What makes this promo pack different from single-card promos?
Unlike single-card promos like the Gotham City Docks card (originally from an Organized Play Kit), the Gen Con 2023 Promo Pack gives you three cards in one purchase. This makes it a convenient way to add multiple new characters to your deck-building sessions without hunting for individual cards.
Are these cards compatible with all DC Deck-Building Game expansions?
Yes, the Gen Con 2023 Promo Pack cards are designed for the standard DC Deck-Building Game series. They use the same 2.5" x 3.5" card size and high-quality printing as the base game and expansions. However, they do not include any rulebook or scenario-specific instructions, so you'll integrate them as you would any other promo card.
Frequently asked questions
What cards are in the Gen Con 2023 Promo Pack?
The pack includes three standard promo cards: Birds of Prey, Avery Ho, and Savitar. Each card features high-quality printing and is compatible with the DC Deck-Building Game series.
Can I use these cards with other DC Deck-Building Game expansions?
Yes. These are standard-sized promo cards that work with any DC Deck-Building Game base set or expansion. They do not require any special rules or additional components. Shuffle them into your main deck or use them as part of a custom variant.
How does this pack compare to the Gotham City Docks Promo Card?
The Gen Con pack gives you three cards for one price, while the Gotham City Docks card is a single promo originally from an Organized Play Kit. If you want variety, the pack is better; if you're collecting specific rare singles, the Gotham card may appeal more. Consider your collection goals before choosing between multi-card packs and single promos.
Is the Justice League Dark Playmat included with this pack?
No. The playmat is a separate Kickstarter Exclusive item (28" x 16", artwork by Raymond Gay). It pairs nicely thematically but is not part of the promo pack. If you want a matching play surface, you'll need to purchase the playmat separately.
