Quick answer
Denes Euphrasia 30c Drops offer a gentle homeopathic option for common eye irritations in dogs and cats, but knowing when to use them versus when to see a vet is key.
Why choose a homeopathic eye drop for your pet?
Homeopathic remedies like Denes Euphrasia 30c Drops are formulated to support the body's natural healing response. They contain highly diluted active ingredients, which can be a good choice for mild, recurring eye issues where you want to avoid harsher chemicals or frequent vet visits. However, they are not a substitute for veterinary treatment in serious cases.
When to stop and see a vet instead
If your pet's eye is swollen, has a colored discharge (yellow or green), shows a visible injury, or if the irritation persists after 2-3 days of using the drops, stop home treatment and consult a veterinarian. These signs may indicate an infection, ulcer, or foreign object that requires prescription medication or professional care.
How to diagnose and treat eye irritation with Denes Euphrasia Drops
- Symptom: Your pet has watery eyes, mild redness, or squinting without swelling or colored discharge.
- Likely cause: Environmental irritants like dust, pollen, or dry air; or minor allergy response.
- Corrective action: Apply 1-2 drops of Denes Euphrasia 30c Drops into the affected eye, up to 3 times daily for 2-3 days. Shake the bottle gently before each use. Monitor the eye daily; improvement should be noticeable within 48 hours.
- Stop or choose another option: If symptoms worsen, no improvement after 3 days, or if you see swelling, colored discharge, or a visible injury, stop use and contact your vet immediately.
