Quick answer
For most gamers and collectors, a 900x400 mm deskmat provides the best balance of space and desk compatibility. Good Smile US offers premium options in this size, including the Goodsmile Racing Miku 2026 Ver. and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners designs.
Why 900x400 mm is the sweet spot
This size comfortably fits a full-size keyboard, mouse, and a drink or small display stand without overhanging a standard 60-inch desk. It also leaves room for collectible figures or acrylic blocks if you like to keep them on your workspace.
Smaller mats (like 800x300 mm) often leave your mousepad area cramped, while oversized mats (1000x500 mm or larger) can hang off the edges of narrower desks. The 900x400 mm format is widely supported by desk sizes from 48 to 60 inches wide.
Material and print quality matter for collectors
Deskmats with a smooth fabric top and vibrant print keep their look over time. The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners deskmat features artwork by Yoh Yoshinari, so color accuracy and fade resistance are important for display. The Goodsmile Racing Miku 2026 Ver. uses exclusive racing-themed art that stands out in a gaming or figure setup.
Both options use a smooth fabric top that feels comfortable for mouse gliding and is easy to clean with a damp cloth. The rubber base prevents slipping during intense gaming sessions.
How to choose your deskmat size
- Measure your desk depth: Ensure your desk is at least 400 mm deep so the mat fits without overhang. If your desk is 450 mm or deeper, you have room for a wrist rest or small figure behind the mat.
- Consider your gear layout: If you use a tenkeyless keyboard or a compact layout, a 900x400 mm mat gives extra space for a drink or collectible. Full-size keyboard users still have room for a mouse with low sensitivity.
- Match the art to your setup: Choose a design that complements your room theme. Racing Miku suits a gaming or motorsport aesthetic; Cyberpunk: Edgerunners fits a cyberpunk or anime collection. Both deskmats are 900x400 mm, so your decision is primarily about artwork preference.
