Quick answer
The Diaper Genie Clean Laundry Scent Round Refill offers a light, fresh fragrance that helps mask diaper odors without being overpowering. It works with standard Diaper Genie pails and holds up to 810 newborn-sized diapers per refill.
How the scent compares to other Diaper Genie refills
The Clean Laundry scent is designed to be subtle and fresh, similar to a light fabric softener. It is less intense than the Fresh Scent option, making it a good middle ground for parents who want odor control without a strong perfume. Unscented refills are still available for those who prefer no added fragrance.
What parents notice during daily use
Most users report that the scent is noticeable when the pail is opened but fades quickly once closed. The continuous film technology seals each diaper individually, so the fragrance works alongside the barrier to keep the room smelling clean. Some parents note that the scent becomes less perceptible as the refill is used up, which is normal for any scented liner.
Frequently asked questions about the Clean Laundry Scent Refill
Does the Clean Laundry scent actually cover diaper odors?
Yes, the light fragrance helps mask odors when the pail is opened, but it does not eliminate them entirely. The continuous film seal is the primary odor barrier. The scent is an extra layer, not a replacement for the sealing system.
Will the scent transfer to baby's clothes or diapers?
No. The film only contacts the soiled diaper inside the pail. The scent is contained within the pail and does not transfer to stored diapers or laundry.
How long does the scent last in the refill?
The fragrance is strongest when the refill is first installed and gradually fades as you use it. Most parents notice a mild scent for about two-thirds of the refill's life. After that, the odor-sealing film still works, but the scent becomes very faint. If you want consistent fragrance throughout the refill, consider rotating between scented and unscented refills.
Can I use this refill in any Diaper Genie pail?
The Clean Laundry Scent Round Refill is designed for standard round Diaper Genie pails (Classic and Select models). It does not fit the Diaper Genie XL or Diaper Genie Expressions pails, which require octagonal refills. Check your pail model before purchasing. If you have an XL or Expressions pail, look for the octagonal refill version.
