Quick answer
For most families, the Doona Liki Trike S5 offers more features with its deluxe package, while the S1 is a budget-friendly choice that still delivers the same compact fold and urban design.
Key differences between S1 and S5
The main difference between the Doona Liki Trike S1 and S5 is the included accessories and color options. The S5 comes as a deluxe version with additional features, while the S1 provides the core trike experience at a lower price point.
Both models share the same patented compact folding mechanism that makes them the world's most compact folding trikes. They fold and unfold at the click of a button, fitting easily in car boots or airplane overhead bins.
Color choice is another factor: the S1 is available in Blush Pink and Red, while the S5 comes in Nitro Black Deluxe. Your child's preference and your family's style may influence your decision.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Price vs. features: The S1 is more affordable (around $118-124) while the S5 costs more (around $167) but includes deluxe extras. If budget is tight, the S1 gives you the same core trike. If you want convenience, the S5 saves you from buying accessories later.
- Color options: The S1 comes in Blush Pink or Red; the S5 is available only in Nitro Black Deluxe. Choose the S1 if you prefer a bright color. Choose the S5 if black suits your style or you want the deluxe package.
- Compact fold capability: Both models fold to the same compact size with the same patented one-click mechanism. This is not a differentiator—both are equally portable and travel-friendly.
