Quick Answer
If you want a full tabletop RPG experience with dual rule systems and a bestiary, choose Eldritch Century RPG. If you're a Sentinels of the Multiverse fan seeking lore for OblivAeon, the Sentinel Comics: OblivAeon comic is a quick, affordable addition.
What You Get: Full RPG vs. Lore Comic
Eldritch Century RPG is a premium slipcase with two hardcover books totaling 600 full-color pages. It's a complete tabletop RPG set with character creation, specialization paths, and an Eldritch Bestiary. The Sentinel Comics: OblivAeon comic is a single issue that sets the stage for the Multiverse-rending conflict, originally packaged with the OblivAeon expansion.
The comic is a narrative supplement, not a game. It adds context for players of Sentinels of the Multiverse, but it doesn't provide rules or gameplay. If you're looking for a new RPG system, the comic won't satisfy that need.
Dual System vs. Single Narrative
Eldritch Century RPG offers two rule systems: 5e-compatible and the Draco System. This flexibility lets you choose the style that fits your group, whether you prefer familiar 5e mechanics or a new system. The comic, by contrast, is a single narrative piece—great for lore but not for varied gameplay.
Consider your group's preference. If they enjoy trying new mechanics, Eldritch Century's Draco System is a fresh experience. If they stick to 5e, the compatibility option is a safe bet.
Trade-Offs at a Glance

- System Flexibility: Eldritch Century supports both 5e and the Draco System, while the comic has no gameplay rules. Choose the RPG if you need adaptable mechanics; choose the comic for pure lore.
