Quick answer
The Emerald Skulls 7-8 Player Expansion adds the betting markers, gear tokens, and player aid cards needed to play the base game with up to eight people. It does not include a new rulebook; the base game already explains how to add extra players.
What the expansion does not include
This expansion is strictly a component pack. It does not include new rules, new cards, or a new rulebook. The base game's rulebook already contains the instructions for adding a 7th and 8th player, so you only need the extra pieces.
Who should consider this expansion
If you regularly host game nights with 5 or more players, this expansion lets you include everyone without leaving anyone out. For groups that rarely exceed 4 players, the base game's standard player count already works well, and you can skip this add-on.
Emerald Skulls 7-8 Player Expansion FAQ
Do I need a new rulebook?
No. The base game rulebook already explains how to set up and play with 7 and 8 players. This expansion only provides the physical components.
What components are included?
You get 4 betting markers, 28 gear tokens, and 2 player aid cards. That's enough for two additional players (7th and 8th).
Can I use this expansion with other Emerald Skulls products?
This expansion is designed to work with the base game. It does not conflict with other promos or accessories, but it does not add content for them either.
Is the price worth it?
At a catalog comparison price of USD 8.00 and a current price of USD 5.68, it's a low-cost way to increase your player count. If you often have 7 or 8 players, it's a practical buy. Check your group size before purchasing. If you rarely play with more than 6, the base game's components may suffice.
