Eustass Kid Figure vs MEGA CAT: One Piece Collectible

Quick Answer

If you want a playful, cat-themed One Piece collectible, the MEGA CAT PROJECT Nyan tomo line is the clear choice. If you prefer a more traditional, action-oriented Eustass Kid figure, look for standard MegaHouse releases instead.

Understanding the MEGA CAT PROJECT Line

The MEGA CAT PROJECT Nyan tomo Ookina Nyan Piece Nyaan! series transforms One Piece characters into large, chibi-style cats. These figures are known for their oversized heads, cute expressions, and a focus on charm over battle poses.

This line is part of MegaHouse's broader Nyan tomo collection, which has gained popularity among collectors who enjoy a lighter, more whimsical take on their favorite characters.

Eustass Kid Figure vs MEGA CAT: Key Differences

The main difference lies in the design philosophy. A standard Eustass Kid figure typically emphasizes his rugged, pirate look with detailed clothing, metal arm, and a serious expression. In contrast, the MEGA CAT version reimagines him as a cute, oversized cat, prioritizing collectible charm over screen accuracy.

This means the MEGA CAT Eustass Kid is not the best choice if you're looking for a figure that represents his on-screen appearance. Instead, it's a fun addition for fans who appreciate creative interpretations.

Budget and Value Considerations

The MEGA CAT Eustass Kid figure is priced at USD 33.75, with a catalog comparison price of USD 45.00. This positions it as a mid-range collectible, often more affordable than larger, highly detailed figures.

If you're on a budget but still want an authentic Japanese import, the MEGA CAT line offers a cost-effective way to add a One Piece character to your shelf.

Trade-Offs to Consider

Style Preference: Choose the MEGA CAT version if you enjoy cute, chibi-style figures. Choose a standard Eustass Kid figure if you want a more serious, action-oriented representation.
Budget: The MEGA CAT figure is priced at USD 33.75, which may be more affordable than larger, more detailed figures. If budget is a concern, this is a good option. Check the catalog price to see if the discount is still active.
Collection Theme: If your collection focuses on accurate character depictions, the MEGA CAT may not fit. If you mix cute and serious pieces, it adds variety. Consider how this figure complements your existing display.
