Quick answer
Use the Spielbox Scroll Tiles to add variety to your Ezra and Nehemiah game by replacing standard scroll tiles with these promo tiles, enhancing replayability without changing core rules.
What the Spielbox Scroll Tiles change
The set includes 4 new Wood Scroll Tiles and 2 new Gold Scroll Tiles. They are optional replacements for the standard scroll tiles in the base game. Their effects are unique, so they introduce new strategic considerations without altering the game's core mechanics. This guide walks you through integrating them into your play.
How to use the Spielbox Scroll Tiles in Ezra and Nehemiah
- 1. Prepare the tiles: Unpack the 6 tiles. Check each tile's effect text—they are not duplicates of the base game tiles. Shuffle them face-down before each game. Ensure you have all 6 tiles and that they are clean and undamaged.
- 2. Replace standard scroll tiles: During setup, remove the standard Wood and Gold Scroll tiles from the game. Place the new Spielbox tiles in their designated spaces on the game board. Do not mix old and new tiles; use only one set per game to avoid confusion.
- 3. Play with new effects: When a player claims a scroll tile, read its effect aloud and apply it immediately. Some tiles may grant resources or trigger events; follow the tile's text exactly. If a tile effect is unclear, refer to the base game rulebook for general scroll tile timing—these promo tiles follow the same rules.
- 4. Store for reuse: After the game, store the tiles in a small bag or the original packaging to prevent loss. Keep them separate from the base game tiles to avoid mixing. Label the storage container to quickly identify the promo set.
