Quick Answer
Choose Fantasm if you want a unique fantasy-themed artwork panel that makes your MG-1 stand out; select Catzilla if you prefer the best-selling design that resonates with most builders.
Fantasy Artwork vs. Proven Popularity
The Fantasm front panel features a fantasy-themed artwork design that appears when reality starts to blur, giving your MG-1 a distinctive look. It is available in two versions to match either the All-new MG-1 or Classic MG-1 model.
Catzilla, on the other hand, is described as the best-selling panel by a wide margin. Its design is clearly popular, though MAINGEAR does not publish detailed artwork descriptions beyond its name and sales ranking.
Your choice comes down to whether you want a visually unique piece with a specific art theme or a widely loved design that has proven appeal among other builders.
Compatibility Across MG-1 Models
Both panels are designed for the MAINGEAR MG-1, but you must select the correct version for your specific MG-1 model when ordering. Fantasm is explicitly offered in versions for the All-new MG-1 and Classic MG-1. Catzilla also requires you to select your MG-1 model before proceeding.
Compatibility is identical in practice, but the ordering step is essential. Double-check your MG-1 generation before purchasing either panel.
