Quick answer

Both the Mint and Brown Maileg Farmhouse Bags can double as a charming diaper bag for small outings, but the choice comes down to color preference and how the bag's paper construction fits your needs. The Mint offers a fresh, playful look, while the Brown provides a classic, neutral option.

Why a paper bag as a diaper bag?

The Maileg Farmhouse Bag is not your typical diaper bag. It's a paper gift bag shaped like a little farmhouse, complete with illustrated windows and a door. While it won't hold all the gear for a full day trip, it's perfect for a quick outing to the park or a visit to a friend's house. Its unique design adds a touch of whimsy to your parenting essentials, and after use, it can become a play home for your child's toys.

Durability and practicality

Because the Farmhouse Bag is made of paper, it's not as durable as a fabric diaper bag. It's best for light use and can't withstand heavy items or rough handling. However, its lightweight nature makes it easy to carry, and the farmhouse shape is sure to draw smiles. Consider it a stylish, temporary solution for very short trips or as a backup bag.

Mint vs Brown: trade-offs

  • Mint Farmhouse Bag: The mint color offers a fresh, modern look that stands out. It's ideal for parents who want a playful, cheerful accessory for their little one.
  • Brown Farmhouse Bag: The brown color provides a classic, earthy aesthetic that blends in easily. It's a great choice for those who prefer understated elegance.
  • Paper construction: Both bags are made of paper, so they are not waterproof or tear-resistant. They are best for dry, light loads and short trips. Do not overload them. Keep the bag away from moisture and sharp objects to prolong its life as a diaper bag.
