Quick answer
Choose the Fell Necromancer if you want a ranged magic-user with a companion figure, or the Chthonic Knight if you prefer a heavy melee brute with two weapons.
What sets these undead warriors apart
Both figures come from Boss Fight Studio's Immortal Champions line, which reimagines classic 5.5-inch action figures with modern articulation and dark fantasy styling. The Fell Necromancer and Chthonic Knight share the same cursed backstory—heroes stolen from their graves and forced into servitude—but their roles on the battlefield are completely different.
The Fell Necromancer is a spellcaster who commands the dead, armed with twin Soul Scythes and accompanied by an Avian Scout. The Chthonic Knight is a relentless melee fighter, wielding a Spurning Sword and Accursed Axe, built for close-quarters combat. Your choice depends on whether you want a commanding sorceress or an unstoppable soldier.
Fell Necromancer vs Chthonic Knight: Trade-offs
- Ranged magic vs melee strength: The Fell Necromancer uses arcane scythes and commands an Avian Scout, making her ideal for dynamic, story-driven displays. The Chthonic Knight relies on brute force with a sword and axe, perfect for frontline battle scenes.
- Extra companion figure: The Fell Necromancer includes an Avian Scout, giving you two figures for the price of one. The Chthonic Knight does not include a companion, but its two weapons offer more weapon-swapping variety.
- Price difference: The Fell Necromancer is priced at USD 19.19, while the Chthonic Knight is USD 18.89. Both are marked down from a comparison price of USD 29.99, so you save roughly the same amount either way. If budget is tight, the Chthonic Knight saves you 30 cents, but the difference is negligible for most collectors.
