When it comes to high-quality action figures, the Figma line from Max Factory has long been a favorite among collectors. Known for their incredible articulation, detailed sculpts, and a wide range of licenses, Figma figures offer something for everyone. But with so many releases, how do you choose? In this article, we pit the Figma Bionic JoshiKosei against other Figma releases to help you understand what sets it apart and which figure might be the best addition to your collection.
Whether you're a seasoned collector or just starting out, understanding the differences in articulation, accessories, and overall build quality can make a huge difference. We'll break down the key aspects of the Figma Bionic JoshiKosei and compare them with other popular Figma figures, including those from the Arms Note series and other iconic releases. By the end, you'll have a clear idea of which Figma deserves your hard-earned money.
Articulation and Posability: Bionic JoshiKosei vs Other Figma
One of the biggest selling points of any Figma is its articulation. The Figma Bionic JoshiKosei, based on the Arms Note character, features a highly articulated body with a unique mechanical design. The joints are tight yet smooth, allowing for dynamic poses without feeling flimsy. The figure includes multiple points of articulation, including the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles, making it perfect for action-packed displays.
Compared to other Figma releases, the Bionic JoshiKosei holds its own. For example, the Figma - 567 Shiroko Sunaookami - Blue Archive offers excellent articulation as well, but with a more standard humanoid design. The Bionic JoshiKosei's mechanical limbs and armor pieces add an extra layer of complexity, which can be both a blessing and a curse. While the extra parts enhance the visual appeal, they can occasionally limit movement in certain directions. However, for most poses, the Bionic JoshiKosei delivers a level of flexibility that rivals the best in the Figma line.
Figma - 567 Shiroko Sunaookami - Blue Archive
- The Bionic JoshiKosei features over 20 points of articulation, allowing for a wide range of poses.
- Other Figma figures, like the Shiroko Sunaookami, offer similar articulation but with a simpler design.
- The mechanical design of the Bionic JoshiKosei adds visual interest but may restrict some extreme poses.
Accessories and Extras: What's in the Box?
Accessories can make or break an action figure, and Figma is known for packing their figures with plenty of extras. The Figma Bionic JoshiKosei comes with a variety of interchangeable hands, face plates, and its signature weapon. The face plates are particularly impressive, offering different expressions that capture the character's personality. Additionally, the figure includes a stand, which is essential for dynamic poses.
When compared to other Figma releases, the accessory count is quite generous. The Pop Up Parade - Hodaka Morishima - Weathering With You, while not a Figma but a similar scale figure, comes with minimal accessories, focusing more on the sculpt. On the other hand, the Figma - 567 Shiroko Sunaookami - Blue Archive includes her iconic rifle and multiple hands, but the Bionic JoshiKosei edges ahead with its unique mechanical parts and extra face plates. For collectors who love to customize their displays, the Bionic JoshiKosei offers more value in terms of sheer variety.

- Bionic JoshiKosei includes multiple face plates, hands, and a signature weapon.
- Other Figma figures may include fewer accessories, depending on the character.

Build Quality and Materials: Is the Bionic JoshiKosei Worth It?
Figma figures are renowned for their build quality, and the Bionic JoshiKosei is no exception. The figure is made from high-quality PVC and ABS plastics, ensuring durability and a premium feel. The paint application is crisp, with no noticeable overspray or sloppy edges. The joints are sturdy and hold their position well, even after repeated posing. This is a figure that can withstand the test of time.
When compared to other Figma releases, the Bionic JoshiKosei holds up exceptionally well. Some older Figma figures have been known to have loose joints over time, but the Bionic JoshiKosei seems to have addressed this issue with tighter tolerances. The Figma - 567 Shiroko Sunaookami - Blue Archive also boasts excellent build quality, but the Bionic JoshiKosei's intricate design requires more careful handling. Overall, if you're looking for a figure that feels solid and looks great, the Bionic JoshiKosei is a top contender.
- High-quality PVC and ABS construction ensures durability.
- Crisp paint application with minimal imperfections.
- Tight joints that hold poses well, even after extended use.
Price and Value: Which Figma Offers the Best Bang for Your Buck?
Price is always a consideration when adding to your collection. The Figma Bionic JoshiKosei is priced competitively within the Figma line, offering a good balance of quality and features. While it may not be the cheapest Figma available, the amount of accessories and the unique design justify the cost. For comparison, the Figma - 567 Shiroko Sunaookami - Blue Archive is similarly priced, but the Bionic JoshiKosei offers more in terms of mechanical complexity and playability.
If you're on a budget, there are more affordable options like the Pop Up Parade - Hodaka Morishima - Weathering With You, which is a static figure but much cheaper. However, for those who value articulation and accessories, the Bionic JoshiKosei is a worthy investment. When considering the long-term value, the Bionic JoshiKosei's unique design makes it a standout piece that will likely appreciate in collector value over time.
