Quick Answer
For most collectors, the Fuggler Funny Ugly Monster Vol.2 blind bag is worth picking up if you enjoy surprise reveals and quirky designs—just know you won't know which monster you're getting until you open it.
Why the surprise reveal matters
The Fuggler Funny Ugly Monster Vol.2 Series Blind Bag is all about the unboxing moment. Each bag contains one surprise figure from the second volume, so the excitement isn't just in the toy itself but in the anticipation of which quirky monster you'll get.
This makes it a great pick for fans of unique and humorous designs who enjoy the thrill of mystery. But if you're someone who needs to know exactly what you're getting before you pay, the blind bag format might feel like a gamble.
Collecting angle: completing the set
Because each bag is a surprise, you might end up with duplicates if you're trying to collect the whole series. That's part of the fun for some, but it can be frustrating if you're aiming for a specific monster.
If you're a completionist, consider buying multiple bags at once to increase your odds, or trade with friends to fill gaps. The blind bag format rewards patience and a sense of humor about repeats.
Who should skip this blind bag
If you prefer detailed, realistic figures or want a display piece that matches a specific theme, the Fuggler series might not be for you. Its charm is in its deliberately ugly, funny aesthetic, which isn't everyone's taste.
Also, if you're looking for a plush or a larger figure, this blind bag contains a small surprise figure, so check the size expectations before buying.
Decision Rules: How to Choose
- If you love surprise reveals: Go for it. The blind bag format delivers a fun unboxing moment with every purchase. Buy one bag first to test the experience before committing to more.
- If you're a completionist: Buy multiple bags at once to increase your chances of getting different monsters, and be prepared for possible duplicates. Consider trading with friends to complete the set without overspending.
- If you need to know exactly what you're getting: Skip the blind bag unless you're okay with the uncertainty. There's no way to tell which figure is inside. Look for open-box or single-figure options if you want a specific monster.
