Quick answer
The Game of Thrones Top Trumps Quiz tests your knowledge of lore from all eight seasons across 100 category cards, making it a solid pick for fans who want a themed trivia challenge rather than a standard card battle.
What makes the quiz different from classic Top Trumps
Instead of comparing numerical stats, you answer multiple-choice questions about characters, locations, and events from the series. This shifts the game from luck-based to knowledge-based, which rewards dedicated fans but may frustrate casual viewers who haven't memorized minor plot points.
Where the lore questions come from
Questions span all eight seasons, covering major houses, battles, and even obscure references. Expect queries about Tyrion's wit, Daenerys's dragons, and the politics of King's Landing. The deck draws from the full show, so late-season twists appear alongside early episodes.
Diagnosing your quiz experience
- Symptom: You find yourself guessing on many questions or getting frustrated by obscure references.
- Likely cause: The deck includes questions from all eight seasons, including minor plot points and character details that casual viewers may not recall.
- Corrective action: Review key season summaries or rewatch favorite episodes focusing on character names, house sigils, and major turning points. Play with friends who are equally deep into the lore to balance the difficulty. If you prefer a stats-based game without trivia, consider Classic Top Trumps instead.
- Stop or choose another option: If you want a game that rewards memory of the show's world and enjoy testing your recall against others, this quiz is a great fit. If you dislike trivia or haven't seen all seasons, a standard Top Trumps deck may be more enjoyable.
