Quick answer

If you want a large centerpiece with LED effects and a limited edition, choose the Fourth Gear Luffy statue from Kc Studios. If you prefer a more affordable, smaller-scale figure that still captures Luffy's power, consider the Rocks Pirates Edward Newgate statue from A Plus Studios as a budget-friendly alternative.

Scale and presence

The Forth Gear Luffy with LED statue from Kc Studios stands 64 cm tall with a 44 cm depth, making it a commanding display piece. In contrast, the Rocks Pirates Edward Newgate statue from A Plus Studios is much smaller at 14 cm estimated total height. The size difference is significant: the Kc Studios piece demands a dedicated shelf or cabinet, while the A Plus Studios figure fits easily on a desk or standard shelf.

Features and materials

The Kc Studios Fourth Gear Luffy includes an LED lighting feature, adding dramatic effect to the figure. Both statues use resin and PU, but the Kc Studios piece is larger and more complex. The A Plus Studios Edward Newgate is a simpler, time-limited release without special lighting. If you value dynamic display features, the LED on the Fourth Gear Luffy is a clear advantage.

Edition size and availability

The Forth Gear Luffy is limited to 288 pieces worldwide, adding collectibility. The Rocks Pirates Edward Newgate is described as time-limited but does not specify an edition size. For collectors focused on rarity, the numbered limited edition of the Kc Studios statue is more appealing. However, the A Plus Studios piece ships earlier (estimated Q3 2026) compared to the Kc Studios statue which ships within 10 working days after payment.

Tradeoffs at a glance

  • Size vs. space: The Kc Studios statue is massive (64 cm) and requires a large display area. The A Plus Studios figure is small (14 cm) and fits almost anywhere. Choose the Kc Studios if you have a dedicated shelf; choose A Plus Studios for tight spaces.
  • Features vs. simplicity: Kc Studios includes LED lighting for a dramatic effect; A Plus Studios offers a clean, no-frills design. LED adds visual impact but increases complexity and price.
  • Rarity vs. availability: Kc Studios is limited to 288 pieces; A Plus Studios is time-limited but without a stated edition size. If limited edition collectibility matters, go with Kc Studios.
