Frequently asked questions
How do you play Top Trumps?
Each player gets a hand of cards. The first player picks a stat from their top card, like Height. Everyone reads that stat on their top card. The player with the highest number wins the round and collects all cards. The game ends when one player holds all cards.
What age group is this deck for?
The game is designed for ages 6 and up. Younger kids may need help reading the stats, but the numbers are large and easy to compare. It's a great family game for ages 6-12.
Are the unicorn cards real animals?
No, unicorns are fantasy creatures. The deck includes them for fun, and their Special Power stat adds a surprise element. Kids can learn that real horses and ponies have measurable traits, while unicorns are make-believe. Use the unicorn cards to spark conversations about real vs. imaginary animals.
How many cards are in the deck?
The standard Top Trumps deck contains 30 cards. This deck includes a mix of real horses, ponies, and unicorn cards, each with unique stats.
Can you play with more than two players?
Yes, you can play with 2-6 players. The rules scale easily: everyone still picks a stat and compares. More players make rounds faster and more competitive.
