Assembly steps
- Prepare your frame and fleece strips: Lay the frame flat. Take one fleece strip and weave it through the first slot, pulling until both ends are even. Repeat for all slots, working from the center outward. Don't skip the center slots first—this keeps the weave balanced and prevents gaps.
- Scrunch and tighten the loops: Once all strips are woven, hold the frame firmly and push the loops toward the center to create a dense, fluffy surface. Scrunch each row until the loops feel snug. If loops feel loose, go back and scrunch again. Loose loops can cause the pillow to look uneven.
- Add the peel-and-stick features: Peel the backing from the embroidered eyes, nose, and mouth. Press them onto the front of the pillow. Attach the felt ears and tail by weaving their tabs into the loops. Position the features before pressing firmly—once stuck, they are hard to remove without damaging the fleece.
- Stuff and close the pillow: Open the back of the frame and fill the cavity with the included stuffing. Use small handfuls to avoid lumps. When full, close the frame and secure any remaining loops. Overstuffing can make the pillow too firm and distort the shape. Stop when it feels squishy but not tight.
