Quick answer
Wash your Pfand Gehört Daneben Turnbeutel inside out on a gentle cycle with cold water, then air dry flat to protect the print and fabric.
Why gentle care matters for this turnbeutel
This turnbeutel is made from Fairwear materials in a GOTS-certified production, so it's designed to be durable but still needs a little TLC. The printed message is the star here, and harsh washing can fade or crack it over time. By sticking to a gentle routine, you'll keep the bag looking sharp and the message clear.
A common mistake is tossing it in with heavy loads or using hot water, which can shrink the fabric or distort the shape. Since it's a lightweight bag, it's best to treat it like delicates.
How to care for your Pfand Gehört Daneben Turnbeutel
- 1. Turn inside out and zip up: Before washing, turn the turnbeutel inside out to protect the printed side. If your bag has a zipper or closure, close it to prevent snagging. This simple step prevents the print from rubbing against other items and keeps the fabric from fraying.
- 2. Wash on a gentle cycle with cold water: Use a mild detergent and set your machine to a delicate or hand-wash cycle with cold water (max 30°C). Avoid bleach or fabric softener, as they can damage the fibers and print. Hot water can shrink the bag and fade the print, so stick to cold. A common mistake is using too much detergent, which leaves residue.
- 3. Air dry flat, away from direct heat: After washing, gently squeeze out excess water (don't wring) and lay the turnbeutel flat on a towel or drying rack. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators or dryers. Machine drying or high heat can warp the shape and cause the print to peel. Patience pays off here.
