How to Choose the Right Cigarillo for Your Taste

Quick answer

Start with your preferred flavor profile and draw strength, then choose a format that fits how often you smoke. Flavored pouches like HYPE Summer Love offer variety on a budget, while premium displays like Zig-Zag Spiral Rolled deliver consistent quality for regular sessions.

Flavor vs. Natural: What Sets Them Apart

Flavored cigarillos add a layer of sweetness or fruit that can mask tobacco harshness, making them a popular entry point. Natural blends let the tobacco character shine through, often with a smoother, more refined finish.

If you enjoy a hint of sweetness with your smoke, a flavored option like HYPE Summer Love or Zig-Zag Sweet is a safe bet. For a cleaner, mellow tobacco taste, look for natural blends such as Zig-Zag Gold.

Strength and Draw: Mild vs. Bold

Cigarillo strength depends on the tobacco blend and wrapper thickness. A milder draw suits longer, more relaxed sessions, while a bolder draw delivers a quicker nicotine hit.

Zig-Zag Premium Gold Cigarillos are described as smooth and mellow, making them a good choice if you prefer a lighter experience. HYPE Xotic Lush offers a crafted premium blend for a smooth draw with a unique flavor twist.

Format and Value: Packs vs. Displays

Your smoking frequency should guide the format. Single pouches (4-packs) are ideal for sampling or occasional use. Displays holding multiple cartons offer better per-unit value for regular smokers.

The Zig-Zag Premium Spiral Rolled Cigarillos Display includes 5 cartons at a catalog price of USD 56.70 (compared to USD 84.63), making it a cost-effective choice for committed fans. HYPE pouches are more affordable upfront and come in resealable foil to maintain freshness.

Your Cigarillo Decision Rules

If you want a sweet, flavored smoke: Choose a flavored cigarillo like HYPE Summer Love or Zig-Zag Sweet. These add a subtle sweetness or fruit note that complements the tobacco.
If you prefer a mild, natural tobacco taste: Pick a natural blend such as Zig-Zag Gold Premium Cigarillos. They offer a smooth, mellow profile with a clean finish.
If you smoke regularly and want the best value: Go for a display pack like the Zig-Zag Premium Spiral Rolled Cigarillos Display. It contains 5 cartons at a discounted price per unit. Compare the cost per cigarillo between a single pouch and a display to see your savings.
If you want to sample different flavors: Start with a single pouch of HYPE Summer Love or HYPE Xotic Lush. The resealable pouch keeps the remaining cigarillos fresh.
