Quick Answer
Clean your Aarke Carbonator Pro Steel weekly with warm soapy water on the exterior and glass bottle, and descale the carbonation nozzle every 3 months to prevent mineral buildup.
Why Regular Maintenance Matters
The Carbonator Pro Steel's stainless steel body resists fingerprints and smudges, but food acids and hard water minerals can dull the finish over time if not wiped regularly.
The dishwasher-safe glass bottle is sturdy, but the carbonation nozzle and sealing ring need gentle care to maintain a proper seal and consistent carbonation.
What You'll Need
Soft microfiber cloth, mild dish soap, warm water, white vinegar or citric acid for descaling, and a soft-bristled brush (like a bottle brush) for the nozzle area.
Step-by-Step Cleaning Routine
- Daily Wipe-Down: After each use, wipe the stainless steel body with a damp microfiber cloth and mild soap. Dry immediately with a soft cloth to avoid water spots. Avoid abrasive sponges or cleaners—they scratch the brushed steel finish.
- Weekly Glass Bottle Wash: Remove the glass bottle and wash it in the dishwasher (top rack) or by hand with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and air-dry upside down. Never put the carbonation head or gas cylinder in the dishwasher—hand-clean only.
- Monthly Nozzle Inspection: Unscrew the carbonation nozzle (if removable) and rinse under warm water. Use a soft brush to clear any debris from the small holes. Reattach firmly. A clogged nozzle reduces carbonation quality. Check it even if you don't see buildup.
- Quarterly Descaling: Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water. Fill the glass bottle, attach to the machine, and carbonate once. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then discard and rinse the bottle thoroughly with fresh water. Hard water areas may need descaling every 2 months. If carbonation fizzes weakly, it's time to descale.
- Yearly Seal Check: Inspect the rubber sealing ring on the bottle cap for cracks or wear. If it feels loose or hardened, replace it (contact Aarke support for a replacement part). A worn seal causes gas leaks and flat sparkling water. Test by carbonating and listening for a hiss.

Carbonator Pro Steel Starter Kit: The Carbonator Pro Steel features a stainless steel body and a dishwasher-safe glass bottle. The glass bottle can go in the dishwasher for easy cleaning, but the stainless steel exterior should be hand-wiped to preserve its brushed finish.
