Quick answer
Spot clean your Flapjacks plush with a mild detergent and cool water, or machine wash on a gentle cycle inside a pillowcase. Always air dry to preserve the flat shape and soft texture.
Why gentle cleaning matters for Flapjacks
Flapjacks plushies have a unique flattened shape that makes them perfect for stacking and cuddling. Harsh washing or high heat can distort that shape and damage the soft fabric.
The Torta Turtle and Stef Strawberry Cow both use the same signature Flapjacks construction, so the same care routine works for either plush.
Step-by-step cleaning guide
- 1. Spot clean first: Mix a few drops of mild laundry detergent or dish soap with cool water. Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the solution and gently dab the soiled area. Avoid rubbing hard, which can mat the fabric. Always test the solution on a hidden spot first to check for colorfastness.
- 2. Machine wash (if needed): Place the plush inside a zippered pillowcase or mesh laundry bag. Use a front-loading or top-loading machine without an agitator. Select the delicate cycle with cold water and minimal spin. Add a small amount of gentle detergent, no bleach. Do not overload the machine; the plush needs room to tumble freely.
- 3. Air dry completely: Remove the plush from the pillowcase and reshape it gently. Lay it flat on a drying rack or clean towel away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Fluff it occasionally to restore softness. Do not use a dryer or radiator. Air drying may take 24–48 hours; check that the inner filling is dry before stacking or storing.
