Quick Answer

To fold the Mompush Nexis stroller one-handed, locate the fold trigger on the handlebar, pull it while pushing the stroller forward, and the stroller auto-folds into a compact standing position. It's that simple.

Why the One-Handed Fold Matters

When you're juggling a baby and a coffee, a stroller that folds with one hand is a lifesaver. The Mompush Nexis is designed for this exact scenario, letting you collapse it quickly without setting anything down. This guide walks you through the process so you can do it confidently, even with a squirmy toddler in the other arm.

Preparing for a Smooth Fold

Before you attempt the fold, make sure the stroller is on a flat surface and the brake is engaged. This prevents the stroller from rolling away mid-fold. Also, remove any heavy items from the storage basket, as they can shift and make the fold harder.

Step-by-Step One-Handed Fold

  1. Engage the brake and clear the basket: Make sure the stroller is on a flat surface and the brake is locked. Remove any items from the storage basket to prevent them from falling out or obstructing the fold. Check that the brake is fully engaged before you start.
  2. Locate the fold trigger on the handlebar: Find the fold trigger, usually a button or lever on the handlebar. With your hand on the handlebar, press or pull the trigger while keeping your other hand free. If you can't find the trigger, check the user manual for its exact location.
  3. Push the stroller forward to initiate the auto-fold: While holding the trigger, push the stroller forward with a gentle motion. The auto-fold mechanism will engage, and the stroller will collapse into a compact standing position. Don't force the fold—if it doesn't collapse smoothly, check for obstructions.
  4. Secure the fold and store: Once folded, ensure the stroller locks into its folded position. You can then carry it by the handle or place it in your trunk or overhead bin. Practice the fold a few times at home to get the hang of it before using it in a hurry.
