Quick answer

Plug the Quad Lock 360 Dual USB 12V Car Charger into your car's DC power socket, connect your USB cable, and you're ready to fast charge on the road.

What you need before you start

The Quad Lock 360 Dual USB 12V Car Charger works with any standard 12V DC port (cigarette lighter socket). You'll also need a USB-C or USB-A cable that supports fast charging to get the full 48W output. The charger itself has no separate mounting bracket or wiring—installation is purely plug-and-play.

A common mistake is assuming the charger works with older 24V truck systems or requires hardwiring. It's designed for standard 12V car ports only, and no tools or permanent modifications are needed.

Installation steps

  1. 1. Locate your 12V DC port: Find the 12V power socket (cigarette lighter) in your car. It's usually near the dashboard, center console, or in the cargo area for SUVs. Make sure the port is clean and free of debris before inserting the charger.
  2. 2. Insert the charger: Push the Quad Lock 360 Dual USB 12V Car Charger firmly into the port until it's seated flush. You don't need to twist or lock it—just a straight push. If the charger feels loose, try a different 12V port. Loose connections can cause intermittent charging.
  3. 3. Connect your USB cable: Plug your USB-C or USB-A cable into the appropriate port. The USB-C port delivers up to 30W, while the USB-A port provides up to 18W with QC3.0. For fastest charging, use a USB-C to USB-C cable with your device. Standard USB-A cables will charge at slower speeds.
  4. 4. Verify charging: Check that your device shows a charging indicator. If it doesn't, unplug and reinsert the charger or try a different cable. The charger has no LED light, so rely on your device's screen or battery icon to confirm power.
