Quick answer
Use dōTERRA essential oil cap stickers to quickly identify oils by matching the cap sticker to the oil name, keeping your collection organized and easy to browse.
Why cap stickers help with organization
When you have several essential oil bottles, it can be time-consuming to read the side label each time. Cap stickers let you see the oil name at a glance, even when bottles are stored upright in a rack or drawer.
The dōTERRA cap stickers are designed to fit the standard bottle caps and include the oil name, so you can match them to your bottles without guesswork. This is especially helpful if you store oils in a case or travel bag where labels might be hard to read.
What to consider before applying
These stickers are currently unavailable, but the method still applies to any similar cap stickers you may have. Once they are back in stock, you can order them for your collection.
Make sure your bottle caps are clean and dry before applying the sticker. Oils or residue on the cap can prevent the sticker from adhering properly.
Steps to apply and use cap stickers
- Gather your oils and stickers: Collect the essential oil bottles you want to label and the corresponding cap stickers. Check that each sticker matches the oil name on the bottle label. Common mistake: applying a sticker to the wrong bottle. Double-check the name before peeling.
- Clean and dry the cap: Wipe the top of each bottle cap with a dry cloth to remove dust or oil residue. Let it air dry for a few seconds. If the cap feels greasy, use a bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad and let it evaporate fully.
- Peel and apply the sticker: Carefully peel the cap sticker from its backing. Center it on the cap and press down firmly from the center outward to avoid air bubbles. Once applied, the sticker is difficult to reposition. Take your time to align it correctly.
- Arrange your oils: Place the labeled bottles in your storage rack, case, or drawer. Group them by type (citrus, floral, etc.) or by frequency of use. Cap stickers make it easy to spot the oil you need without pulling each bottle out.
