How to install and use the Steelie Orbiter Windshield Kit
- Clean the windshield area: Wipe the interior of your windshield where you plan to attach the mount. Use a glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth to remove dust, grease, and fingerprints. A clean surface ensures the suction cup holds firmly. Even a small speck of dirt can cause the suction to fail over time.
- Attach the windshield mount: Press the suction cup firmly against the clean glass and flip the lever or press the center button (depending on your model) to lock it in place. Give it a gentle tug to confirm it's secure before adding the magnetic socket. If the mount feels loose, re-clean the area and try again.
- Apply the metal plate to your phone or case: Peel the backing off the adhesive metal plate and stick it to the back of your phone or inside your phone case. Center it for balanced magnetic connection. If you use a case, place the plate on the case exterior for easy removal. Placing the plate off-center may cause the phone to tilt or wobble.
- Connect the magnetic socket: Snap the Orbiter Magnetic Socket onto the ball joint of the windshield mount. The socket rotates 360 degrees, so you can adjust your phone to portrait or landscape orientation after attaching it. Make sure the socket clicks fully onto the ball; a partial connection may slip.
- Attach your phone and adjust: Bring the metal plate on your phone close to the magnetic socket until it snaps into place. Rotate the phone to your preferred viewing angle. To remove, simply pull the phone away from the mount. For the strongest hold, ensure the metal plate and socket are aligned flat against each other.
