Quick answer
Innovision FX Screen Mesh contacts are primarily decorative Halloween lenses with a comfortable 43% water content and a three-month wear cycle. While they are not blue-light blocking lenses, their high moisture level can help reduce dryness during long gaming sessions.
Why screen fatigue matters for contact lens wearers
Gamers often stare at screens for hours, which can cause dry eyes, discomfort, and eye strain. Contact lenses can make this worse by reducing oxygen flow and moisture to the eye. Choosing lenses with higher water content can help maintain comfort.
What Innovision FX Screen Mesh does and does not do
Innovision FX Screen Mesh contacts are decorative lenses with a vivid mesh pattern, not medical-grade blue-light filters. Their 43% water content is higher than many decorative lenses, which can keep eyes feeling fresher during long play sessions. However, they do not filter blue light or reduce digital eye strain directly.
Diagnosis: Are Innovision FX Screen Mesh right for your gaming setup?
- Symptom: You experience dry eyes, irritation, or discomfort after 2+ hours of screen time while wearing contacts. If your current lenses feel dry, consider a higher-water-content option.
- Likely cause: Standard decorative lenses often have low water content (under 40%), which can absorb moisture from your eyes. Innovision FX Screen Mesh offers 43% water content, which is higher than many alternatives.
- Corrective action: Switch to Innovision FX Screen Mesh for gaming sessions. Their three-month wear cycle means you can use them for multiple sessions without frequent replacement. Always use contact lens-safe eye drops if discomfort persists. Keep a bottle of preservative-free lubricating drops handy.
- Stop or choose another option if: You specifically need blue-light-filtering lenses. These are decorative contacts and do not block blue light. For blue-light protection, consider computer glasses or screen filters instead. If you need blue-light blocking, look for dedicated blue-light filtering glasses.
