Quick answer
The SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro rugged case is a solid choice for 2020 iPad Pro 11 inch owners who want heavy-duty drop protection and a built-in kickstand without adding excessive bulk.
Why choose a rugged case for your 2020 iPad Pro 11?
The 2020 iPad Pro 11 inch is a powerful device with a thin profile, making it vulnerable to drops and impacts. A rugged case adds a protective layer without sacrificing access to ports and buttons.
The Unicorn Beetle Pro is designed specifically for the 2020 model, ensuring precise cutouts for the camera, speakers, and charging port. Its metallic red finish also adds a bold look while keeping the iPad secure.
Trade-offs to consider
Rugged cases add some thickness, so if you prefer a slim profile for daily use, this may feel bulkier than a standard case. The built-in kickstand is convenient for media viewing but adds a slight hinge bump on the back.
The case is not waterproof, so it won't protect against submersion. It focuses on drop and impact protection, which is typical for this category.
Decision rules for the Unicorn Beetle Pro
- Drop protection priority: If you frequently use your iPad in high-risk environments (e.g., outdoors, with kids, or on the go), the rugged construction and raised edges offer reliable impact absorption.
- Kickstand usefulness: The built-in kickstand supports landscape viewing for movies, video calls, or presentations. It's sturdy but adds a small bump on the back when folded flat. If you never use a stand, consider a slimmer case instead.
- Fit and compatibility: This case is made only for the 2020 iPad Pro 11 inch. It will not fit other iPad generations or sizes. Check your model number before buying. Double-check your iPad model in Settings > General > About.
