Quick answer
For a compact, nostalgic addition to your gashapon collection, the Kenelephant Nakayoshi Charmy Miniature Collection offers six charming 4.5cm figures. Choose based on your favorite character or color scheme, and be ready for the random capsule format.
Why the 4.5cm size matters
At approximately 4.5cm tall, these miniatures are smaller than typical trading figures but still detailed. This size makes them easy to display on shelves, in glass cases, or alongside other capsule toys without taking up much space.
The compact scale also means they are best appreciated up close. If you prefer larger display pieces, you might find them too small, but for collectors who enjoy building themed vignettes, they are ideal.
Understanding the random capsule format
Like most gashapon, you don't choose which of the six types you get. The series includes three sets of two figures, so there is a chance of receiving duplicates if you buy multiple capsules.
If you have a specific figure in mind, consider trading with friends or using online communities. Alternatively, buying a full set from a reseller guarantees you get all six, but you may pay a premium over the individual capsule price.
Decision rules for choosing your Charmy set
- If you want a classic look: Choose the Charmy-chan red and yellow set for a bright, traditional color pairing that stands out on any shelf.
- If you prefer softer tones: The Wakakusa・Pink set offers a gentler palette, ideal for pastel-themed collections or gifting to someone who likes cute, subdued colors.
- If you love unique finishes: The Metallic Pink/Metallic Blue set adds a shiny accent that catches light, making it a good conversation piece. Remember that the capsule format is random, so you might not get your first choice in a single purchase.
- If you want animal variety: The Type 5 animals set includes a bear, rabbit, and elephant, offering a mix of cute creatures. The giraffe/deer set provides a more woodland feel. Consider buying multiple capsules to increase your chances of completing a set, or trade to fill gaps.
