Quick Answer

Choose the Litter-Robot 5 Starter Bundle if you have a large or multi-cat home and want the most advanced self-cleaning litter box plus a full accessory kit. Choose the Litter-Robot EVO Starter Bundle if you have one or two cats, a small space, or you are buying your first automatic litter box and want a compact, streamlined setup.

Both bundles include a self-cleaning litter box and the accessories you need to start using it, so the real question is which machine matches your home and your cats. The Litter-Robot 5 Starter Bundle centers on the most advanced Litter-Robot, while the EVO Starter Bundle centers on the most streamlined and compact model.

This comparison sticks to the supplied catalog facts. It explains how the two bundles differ in positioning, then gives you fit guidance so you can decide without second-guessing.

What Each Bundle Is Designed For

The Litter-Robot EVO Starter Bundle is built around the Litter-Robot EVO, described as the most streamlined, compact Litter-Robot. The bundle includes highly-rated accessories so you can start fresh. The EVO itself is positioned for first-time cat owners, households with 1-2 cats, and small spaces.

The Litter-Robot 5 Starter Bundle is built around the Litter-Robot 5, described as the most advanced self-cleaning litter box for cats. It also includes highly-rated accessories. The Litter-Robot 5 is positioned for owners who want the most advanced automatic litter box, and the separate Litter-Robot 5 Double Bundle is explicitly aimed at large, multi-cat homes.

  • If your priority is fitting a litter box into a tight corner or apartment, the EVO Starter Bundle is the natural starting point.
  • If your priority is the most advanced self-cleaning model, the Litter-Robot 5 Starter Bundle is the natural starting point.

Size, Space, and Cat Count

The clearest practical difference is space and household size. The Litter-Robot EVO is the compact, streamlined option, and the catalog facts specifically name small spaces and households with 1-2 cats as ideal. That makes the EVO Starter Bundle the easier fit when floor space is limited or when you want a lower-profile setup.

The Litter-Robot 5 is the most advanced model, and the catalog positions the Litter-Robot 5 Double Bundle for large, multi-cat homes. If you have several cats, the advanced model is the better match for the demands of a busier box. The catalog does not state a maximum cat count for either single unit, so treat cat count as a fit question, not a spec sheet guarantee.

  • Measure your intended spot before buying: the EVO is designed to fit almost any space, but you still need clearance for your cat to enter and exit.
  • If you have more than two cats, consider whether one Litter-Robot 5 is enough or whether the Litter-Robot 5 Double Bundle better matches your household.

Features and Accessories in Each Bundle

Both bundles are starter kits, meaning they pair the litter box with the accessories you need to get the most out of it. The EVO Starter Bundle includes highly-rated Litter-Robot accessories, and the Litter-Robot 5 Starter Bundle does the same. Neither bundle is just a bare unit.

The catalog facts do not list individual accessory contents or option types for these bundles, so check the current product page for the exact accessory list before you buy. What the facts do make clear is the core difference: EVO is the compact, streamlined choice, and Litter-Robot 5 is the most advanced choice.

  • If a specific accessory is the reason you are buying, confirm it is included in the bundle you select.
  • If you already own Litter-Robot accessories, compare the bundle contents against what you have to avoid paying for duplicates.

Price and Value Trade-Off

At the time of writing, the Litter-Robot EVO Starter Bundle is listed at USD 364.50 with a catalog comparison price of USD 729.00, and the Litter-Robot 5 Starter Bundle is listed at USD 479.50 with a catalog comparison price of USD 959.00. The EVO bundle costs less, which matches its simpler, compact positioning.

The Litter-Robot 5 Starter Bundle costs more because it centers on the most advanced self-cleaning litter box. If your home is large or multi-cat, that extra cost buys you the model built for heavier demands. If your home is small or you have one or two cats, the EVO bundle delivers the self-cleaning convenience at a lower entry point.

  • Prices and comparison prices can change; verify the current listing before checkout.
  • Value depends on fit: an advanced model that overwhelms your space is not a better value than a compact model that fits it.
