Quick Answer

Every MB220 3-in-1 travel system includes the chassis, seat unit/carrycot, and an i-Size infant carrier, but only the two higher-priced versions come with an ISOFIX base and extra accessories. Check the specific package before you order.

Why the Three Versions Differ

The MB220 range has three main packages, and the key difference is what you get beyond the core stroller and car seat. The base model is the most affordable and includes the essentials, while the mid-tier adds the ISOFIX base, and the top version features a rotating car seat with slide-in-out functionality.

If you already have an ISOFIX base from another i-Size car seat, you might not need the base included in the package. But if you're starting from scratch, buying the base separately can cost more than the price difference between the packages.

The rotating car seat in the top package is a real convenience for getting your baby in and out of the car, especially in tight parking spaces. It's a feature worth paying for if you often park in confined areas.

What to Check Before You Buy

Before you commit, think about how you'll use the travel system. If you plan to use it mainly for walks and occasional car trips, the base model might be enough. But if you're a frequent driver, the ISOFIX base is a must for safe and quick installation.

Also, consider your baby's age and size. The infant carrier is suitable from birth to 76cm, so you'll need to switch to the stroller seat when your baby outgrows it. The carrycot insert and footmuff are included in all versions, keeping your newborn comfortable from day one.

MB220 Box Contents FAQ

What exactly is in the MB220 box?

All MB220 travel systems include the aluminium chassis, the seat unit that converts to a lie-flat carrycot, and an i-Size infant carrier. The two higher-priced versions also include an ISOFIX base. Accessories like a quilted carrycot insert, carrycot apron, cosy footmuff, and rain-cover are included in all versions, but the base model may lack the car seat adapters that come with the top version. Check the specific product page to see which accessories are included, as they vary by package.

Does the MB220 come with a car seat base?

Only the MB220 3-in-1 Travel System with Base and the MB220 3-in-1 Travel System with Rotating Car Seat + Base include the ISOFIX base. The base model (MB220 3-in-1 Travel System - Black) does not include a base. If you need a base, choose one of the two higher-priced versions or buy a compatible base separately.

Is the car seat suitable for newborns?

Yes, the i-Size infant carrier is suitable from birth up to 76cm. The carrycot insert and apron are included to keep your newborn comfortable and protected. You can use the travel system from day one without any extra purchases.

Can I use the MB220 without the car seat?

Yes, the seat unit converts to a carrycot for lie-flat comfort, so you can use the stroller on its own for walks and naps. The car seat is just one part of the 3-in-1 system. The stroller works as a standalone pushchair even if you leave the car seat at home.

What accessories are included with each version?

All versions include a quilted carrycot insert, carrycot apron, cosy footmuff, and rain-cover. The top version (with rotating car seat) also includes car seat adapters. The mid-tier version (with base) includes the base itself, and the base model does not include adapters or a base. Compare the accessory lists to see which package offers the best value for your needs.
