Quick answer
To set up your Medium Alto with suction cup, clean the toy and your chosen surface, press firmly to attach, and test the hold before use.
Why surface choice matters
The suction cup works best on smooth, non-porous surfaces like tile, glass, acrylic, or a polished shower wall. Textured, painted, or matte finishes may not hold as well. Always test the suction before full use to avoid slipping.
Cleaning before first use
Even though the Medium Alto is an inventory toy that has passed quality inspection, it's a good habit to wash it with mild soap and warm water before first use. This removes any dust or residue from handling and packaging.
Step-by-step setup and use tips
- 1. Clean the toy and surface: Wash the Medium Alto with mild soap and warm water, then dry it completely. Wipe your chosen surface with a damp cloth to remove any dust or soap residue. A clean, dry surface gives the suction cup the best grip.
- 2. Attach the suction cup: Press the suction cup firmly against the surface, starting from the center and working outward to push out air. You should feel resistance when you try to lift it. If the cup doesn't hold, re-wet it slightly and try again.
- 3. Test the hold: Gently tug the toy to make sure the suction cup is secure before using it. If it slips, reposition and press again. Never use a suction cup that hasn't been tested—it can come loose during play.
- 4. Apply lubricant: Use a water-based lubricant on the toy for comfort. Avoid silicone-based lubes with silicone toys, as they can degrade the material. Reapply lube as needed during longer sessions.
- 5. Clean after each use: Wash the toy with warm water and mild soap or a dedicated toy cleaner. Dry it fully before storing in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Regular cleaning prevents bacteria buildup and extends the toy's life.
