Quick Answer
Set up the Mi Scusi! Dating Expansion Pack by shuffling its cards into the core deck, then follow the standard Mi Scusi! rules with the new dating-themed prompts for a spicier game night.
What the Dating Expansion Adds
The Mi Scusi! Dating Expansion Pack is written by Italian comedians for people from Italian families, so expect the same irreverent humor as the original game but with a romantic twist. It introduces dating-themed prompts and scenarios that can make gameplay more personal and playful.
Because the expansion is designed to be mixed with the core game, you don't need to learn a completely new rulebook. The main adjustment is ensuring you shuffle the expansion cards thoroughly with the core deck to avoid predictable patterns.
How to Set Up and Play the Dating Expansion
- Gather the core game and expansion: Ensure you have the Mi Scusi! core game and the Dating Expansion Pack. The expansion is designed to be used with the core game, so you'll need the base rules and components. Check that you have the core game before starting; the expansion alone is not a standalone game.
- Shuffle the expansion cards into the core deck: Take the dating expansion cards and shuffle them thoroughly into the main Mi Scusi! deck. This ensures a random mix of original and dating-themed prompts. Shuffle well to avoid clumps of dating cards that could make the game feel repetitive.
- Deal and play following standard rules: Deal the cards as you normally would in Mi Scusi! and follow the standard gameplay rules. When a dating card comes up, read it aloud and play the scenario as instructed. If a dating card seems too personal for your group, agree on a 'skip' rule before starting to keep everyone comfortable.
