Quick Answer

Choose the Family Expansion Pack if you want heartfelt, relatable stories about your loved ones; pick the Mafia Expansion Pack if your group enjoys playful betrayal and mobster-themed humor.

What Each Expansion Adds to Your Game

The Mi Scusi! Family Expansion Pack brings cards about the best and worst things to happen to you and your family, turning the spotlight on personal, shared experiences. It's a great way to learn something new about the people you play with, even if you've known them for years.

The Mafia Expansion Pack leans into the iconic Italian mobster theme with an offer you can't refuse. It's designed for players who enjoy cheeky, over-the-top humor and don't mind a little playful scheming at the table.

Tone and Audience Fit

These expansions create very different moods. Family feels warm and nostalgic, perfect for reunions or casual nights with relatives. Mafia is bolder and more theatrical, ideal for friends who love role-playing and dramatic declarations.

Consider your group's comfort level: family-themed prompts might feel too personal for acquaintances, while mafia humor could fall flat with players who prefer lighthearted, family-friendly fun.

Which Expansion Should You Choose?

  • Family Expansion Pack: Pick this if you want prompts that spark heartfelt, personal stories and deeper connections. It's great for family gatherings or close friends who enjoy sharing memories. If your group prefers real-life anecdotes over fictional role-play, this is the safer bet.
  • Mafia Expansion Pack: Choose this if your group loves playful betrayal, mobster clichés, and dramatic humor. It adds a mischievous energy that can liven up adult game nights. Make sure your players are comfortable with a more sarcastic, theatrical tone before committing.
  • Trying Both: If you're unsure, consider starting with one and adding the other later. Both packs are designed to mix with the base game, so you can expand gradually. Check your budget and how often you host game nights to decide if a single pack or both fit your plans.
