Quick answer
The Mujeres Cafeteras Tumbler combines a premium matte finish with double-wall stainless steel insulation to keep your coffee hot while honoring Women Coffee Growers. Proper hand washing and avoiding abrasive cleaners will preserve its finish and performance.
Why the matte finish needs special care
The tumbler's matte finish gives it a sleek, modern look, but it can be more prone to showing scratches and wear than glossy surfaces. Avoid using metal scrubbers or abrasive sponges, as they can damage the finish and expose the underlying metal.
Stick to soft cloths or non-abrasive sponges with mild dish soap. This keeps the tumbler looking new and protects the iconic Juan Valdez logo.
Double-wall insulation and heat retention
The double-wall stainless steel construction is designed to keep your coffee hot for longer while the outer wall stays cool to the touch. This also prevents condensation on the outside, so your hands stay dry.
Pre-warming the tumbler with hot water for 30 seconds before filling it with coffee can improve heat retention, especially in colder weather.
Frequently asked questions about the Mujeres Cafeteras Tumbler
Is the tumbler dishwasher safe?
For best results, hand wash the tumbler with warm water and mild dish soap. The high heat and harsh detergents in a dishwasher can degrade the matte finish and affect the seal over time.
Can I put hot liquids other than coffee in it?
Yes, the tumbler is designed for hot beverages like tea, hot chocolate, or even soup. The double-wall insulation works the same way for any hot liquid.
How do I clean the lid properly?
Remove the lid and wash it separately with a small brush to reach the crevices. Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue that could affect taste. Check the lid seal periodically for wear; a damaged seal can reduce insulation performance.
Will the tumbler fit in a standard car cup holder?
The 16oz size is designed to fit most standard car cup holders. However, always test the fit before driving, as some deeper or narrower holders may not accommodate it.
