Quick answer
Choose the Mystery Box Holiday Edition if you love a festive surprise and want more pieces for a lower clearance price. Pick the 240 pc Pearl Mix Tube if you prefer knowing exactly what you get and want a versatile, shimmering palette for open-ended builds.
Surprise vs. certainty
The Mystery Box Holiday Edition delivers a wrapped assortment of holiday-themed pieces—you might get snowy scenes, sparkly sleigh pieces, or glow/neon elements. The 240 pc Pearl Mix Tube, on the other hand, offers a curated blend of Jade, Apricot, Pearl, Flamingo, and Pastel Purple, giving you predictable colors for planned projects.
If your builder enjoys the thrill of discovery and doesn't mind not knowing the exact contents, the Mystery Box adds extra excitement. For those who need a specific palette for a design or prefer to avoid duplicates, the Tube provides reliable variety.
Value and piece count
The Mystery Box Holiday Edition is priced at USD 26.59 (compared to USD 37.99) and contains a larger assortment of pieces—more pieces mean more play potential. The 240 pc Pearl Mix Tube costs USD 12.59 (compared to USD 17.99) and offers exactly 240 pieces in five pearl tones.
For budget-conscious shoppers, the Mystery Box gives you more pieces per dollar, but you sacrifice color control. The Tube is a smaller investment with a known color range, making it easier to pair with other sets.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Mystery Box Holiday Edition: Larger piece count at a clearance price of USD 26.59, but contents are a surprise. Best for builders who enjoy the reveal and don't need a specific color scheme. Expect festive, holiday-themed pieces with possible glitter, glow, or neon accents.
- 240 pc Pearl Mix Tube: Exactly 240 pieces in five pearl shades for USD 12.59. You know every color before you open it, making it ideal for planned projects or pairing with other sets. The soft, iridescent palette works well for elegant 2D mosaics and 3D builds.
- Decision rule: If budget and piece count matter most and you love surprises, choose the Mystery Box. If color predictability and a smaller investment are your priorities, choose the Pearl Mix Tube. Both are open-ended; neither is a wrong choice—just different play styles.
